The event, UCAS Day by Hands On provides you the opportunity to reconsider your options through clearing. The release of IB and A-Level results are imminent, which means that it is now a really good time to start thinking about what you are going to do once you receive them. It is useful to plan early so that you know and understand what your options are. Then, you can make the right decision about where to study when the time comes.
Predicted grades may not be accurate and varies the option for students, but no need to worry, as there may be alternative options for you. A number of institutions lower their entry requirements during Clearing, meaning that students who have not made their top choices are able to re-consider their options. On the other hand, you may find that your results are much better than you expected, and you may wish to consider universities who have entry requirements higher than you thought you would achieve.
This is possible through Adjustment with Hands On; where you can submit new applications to universities which you initially thought were out of your reach. Top ranked universities often have limited places on their most popular courses, however, you may be able to find something which is more suited compared with the initial choices you made.

This workshop will take you through key aspect of crafting a competitive personal statement. It will also cover updates on new changes to the UCAS Statement of Purpose Process. Parents are also welcome to join.
⏰ Introduction to UCAS Clearing 2025 | 14:00 – 15:00
This UCAS Clearing session will help students and their parents understand next steps if they have not meet their original university choice.
UCAS Day is available for 🔎
- Students who are studying in IB or A-level programme, and wish to apply to study undergraduate programme in the UK university
- Students who have not submitted their applications to UK universities and who want to apply late in the cycle.
- Parents are also welcome to join
Speaker’s background
Amarjeet Singh Mutneja, an ex-Warwick student recruiter, has over 14 years of experience in student recruitment for UK universities. Amarjeet has helped over hundreds of Thai students apply to competitive UK universities and has delivered numerous workshops across the globe. In this session, he will be offering his insights on UCAS and UCAS Clearing from his own experience of working with some of the competitive UK universities.
